  • Ciaran Edwards

    Mr. Ciaran Edwards

    CO-FOUNDER and SENIOR TUTOR


    GradDip (Learning and teaching), BSc (Mathematics), BMus (Performance)

    A passionate mathematician and educator, Ciaran has supported hundreds of students across varying levels of ability in achieving their mathematical goals.
    He has established himself as an educator of the highest quality, with more than 10 years experience tutoring HSC Mathematics and over 5 years teaching in elite private schools.

    Ciaran has a reputation for building strong rapport with his students, and for creating a supportive and fun learning environment in his classroom. He taught Mathematics at Wenona School in North Sydney from 2017 to 2021, including both the old and new HSC Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1 courses in Years 11 and 12.

    As someone who knows the value of having a close mentor, Ciaran decided to pursue his passion for tutoring and founded ARC Tuition in 2021. Still a lover of being in the classroom, he is currently on staff as a casual Mathematics teacher at multiple schools in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore.

  • Dr. Ronald Chan

    CO-FOUNDER and SENIOR TUTOR


    PhD (Industrial Engineering), BEng (Hons I), BSc (Mathematics and Statistics)

    Dr Chan is an experienced STEM educator in both the secondary and tertiary sectors. He has more than 20 years experience tutoring HSC Mathematics, and has been a lecturer at UNSW for over 10 years.

    Dr Chan has won numerous prestigious awards for his university teaching. Most recently, he was named 2021 Postgraduate Course Coordinator of the Year at UNSW for displaying exemplary teaching methods and administrative skills in his courses.

    Dr Chan also has a track record of supporting top achieving high school students. In the 2021 HSC, Ron’s highest achieving student received 97 in Extension 2 Mathematics and 98 in Extension 1 Mathematics with overall ATAR of 99.85.

    Dr Chan understands the importance of knowing the learning needs and goals of each of his students and strives to always provide constructive feedback and deliver the most personalised possible learning experience.
